When Jennifer and I decided we wanted to start a blog last October 2014 (wow…almost a year already), we both knew we had a lot to learn. We were inspired by top bloggers who made it look so easy and fun. As we’ve come to find out, blogging is definitely fun but takes tons of hard work and dedication. Of course, we had a general idea of where to begin but we wanted to educate ourselves on the business of blogging and learn everything from photography, website development, social media strategy, branding, monetizing and anything in between. On our quest to be blogging experts, we came across the most darling Instagram feed we’ve ever seen. As we scrolled and scrolled through perfectly shot photos, we were quickly inspired by the cohesive story of the Bloguettes. We were intrigued and after more research, we learned the Bloguettes were the perfect resource to make our blog go from concept to reality! After all, the Bloguettes offer workshops, webinars, and camps to help bloggers elevate their knowledge and presence.

Earlier this year, we decided to participate in a Bloguettes webinar all about PR which I highly recommend. In a dream scenario, we would’ve attended their two-day branding workshop which takes place across cities in the US (hmmmm, ladies time to travel to the capital of Texas…we have excellent breakfast tacos and BBQ) but obviously with all the costs involved, the webinars made more sense with our budget and time. Each webinar focuses on different topics like Pinterest, Instagram, Photoshop, SEO, monetization and so much more. You really get the most bang for your buck because these creative ladies are experts and work with industry professionals to provide the best tools and resources at your fingertips. Plus you get to network with other bloggers, small business owners and like minded individuals! The best source for growing is by learning from others you have paved the path and co-founders Lorena and Sakura are women who truly inspire so we were so excited to get the chance to ask them what’s on their minds when it comes to living a blogger life.  Read on to learn more about the Bloguettes!

As busy professionals, do you have a morning routine?

It’s really difficult to have a morning routine as things come up every day, but we both really try and make an effort to going to the gym in the morning before we start our day!

As creatives in the world of blogging, where do you look for inspiration when creating blog content?

Traveling, Pinterest, Instagram is definitely where we like to get our inspiration. Making some “downtime” is when & where you can get the most creative and genuine content too.

What is one piece of advice you would give to bloggers who have been blogging for a while now but want to take their blog to the next level?

To step outside of your comfort zone! If you’ve been blogging for a while now and you want to take it to the next level, you should go the extra mile and start reaching out to other people to collaborate, partner, and work together. Anyone can sit behind a computer and blog, but it’s those that create a community that grows!

Do you have a favorite book about business or entrepreneurship you think every woman should read?

#Girlboss & The Lean Startup is definitely our top favorites!

What’s a blogging app you can’t live without?

It’s not necessarily an app, but an editorial calendar is super crucial and important to help you stay on track!

What has been a challenge in your blogging career and how have you overcome it?

People think blogging is quick & easy, but it definitely is time consuming. We have multiple projects and I think just juggling it all is pretty difficult.   One thing that we feel a lot of people have a challenge with is being able to have good imagery. Perhaps look for a good/beginner photographer that you can work and grow with!

What’s your favorite e-commerce shop and why?

We both are really big fans of Madewell, but we really like any brand that’s simple, feminine, and cute!

Where do you see the business of blogging headed in five years?

We think it will evolve big time- people already think it’s saturated, but we don’t think blogging itself will go anywhere. Perhaps the tools, platforms, and the way we read blogs will evolve for the better in the next couple of years. Video and Images are gonna continue growing in importance.

With all the travels Seek Wander Share has been doing, we wanted to know…

What’s your most memorable vacation?

Sakura: Last year my boyfriend and I went on an amazing trip to the Great Exuma in Bahamas with his parents for ten relaxing days! We stayed in an all-inclusive resort and there’s NOTHING outside of the resort/island– we literally did nothing, but eat, swim, work out, relax, and did I mention eat?! I’ve never been on vacation like that because I always love to explore and do touristy things, but this trip was truly a relaxing vacation!

Lorena: My most memorable vacation has been my honeymoon! We went to Africa for a couple of weeks and we got to experience the most amazing safaris and see the animals on their natural habitat and take some amazing pictures, we have amazing memories from that trip.

What must every traveler pack in their carry-on?

Sakura: I think a phone charger, laptop, and makeup is important to have in your carry-on just in case something were to happen with your check in luggage

Lorena: Your phone, headphones(to avoid being bothered by strangers J), makeup for touchups, a pen, and a notebook in case you come up with some brilliant ideas while on the plane and you don´t want to forget them.
