One of my favorite trends for the summer is crochet because of how amazingly perfect it is for hot and balmy weather. This summer hasn’t been as hot as it could be (which I have been thanking my lucky stars for) BUT this summer has been especially balmy due to all the rain. Thankfully, crochet trends are here to stay because they’re perfect for hot summer days or nights!
If you’re reading this and thinking, um the shirt is see-through like how do I get around that? Well you don’t! You embrace it! It’s also the main reason why crochet is the perfect summer trend because it keeps you so cool and obviously looking adorable as witnessed here ha! But the fact that crochet is sheer is the best part; you can layer crochet over a bikini if your headed to eat or meet friend right after hitting the lake or you can layer the look over a sleek bandeau top like I did here for a dressier more put together look! Of course you can always play with pops of color in your layering piece to brighten up a neutral crochet OR just pick up a beautiful brightly colored crochet top. I like to pair delicate lacy crochet pieces with either something earthy, like this gorgeous embroidered skirt that I’m obsessed with from Altar’d State or keep it simple with cut-offs and sandals. Something kind of cropped like my cute top here would also be ADORABLE with a long simple cotton maxi skirt. You know that maxi skirt that almost all us girls own and love because it’s sooo comfortable ha!
I’m so excited to be jetting off to Italy this Thursday with my dad. I’m finally finished with all the planning, booking, documenting and organizing. I can’t wait to share all the photos of our adventures with all when I get back! PS. Included some of my favorite crochet pieces that I’m currently obsessed with below; not only are they adorable but most of them stand out for good by giving back! How amazing is that? (insert those little heart emoticons here lol)
