Whatever with a Twist

March 5, 2015

Despite it being freezing cold lately, no exaggeration here although I wish, I’m not letting the glum weather get my spirits down. Which is exactly why I pulled out this super cute graphic pom hat when it went below 35 the other day. I have always loved hats and think that they can be the perfect accessory to an outfit that is seemingly missing something but you can’t quite figure out what.

Topshop Unique Recap

February 24, 2015

Photo Cred: Style.com

Last week we were glued to everything NYFW and now it’s time hop over the pond and check out what’s going on during London Fashion Week. Our most anticipated show was Fall 2015 Ready-to-Wear Topshop Unique! Talk about the epitome of British fashion. Topshop always surprises with unexpected looks that make you seem an extra bit cool but without really trying. The show was screaming retro revival and the everyday pieces can be worn for any occasion. There was a corduroy blue suit, shearling coats, black velvet mini dresses, and so much more playful designs. The only problem I see with this collection is the damage it will do to my wallet! Cheers!

To Have and to Hold: Reem Acra

February 19, 2015

My sister is getting married and I’m so excited to celebrate her big day in Puerto Rico next spring. She literally just bought the most beautiful wedding dress that fits her like a glove. Since Reem Acra just showed her Fall 2015 RTW and Bridal collection at NYFW a few days ago, I wanted to pay tribute to her gorgeous wedding gowns since that is so near and dear to my heart now. I’ve collected my favorite bridal designs from her latest runway show. They are the most dreamy, charming, romantic, ethereal, delicate wedding dresses I’ve laid my eyes on. She is so talented and creates the most feminine styles that flatter so many body types. For those of you celebrating a wedding soon, make sure you check out Reem Acra designs for inspiration on one of the happiest days of your life.

Like New Again

February 17, 2015

Since setting my resolution this year to travel more, I have had to brain storm how I am exactly going to make that happen. What was the solution I came up with: shopping my closet as a way to save money. Every girl has some items that have been tucked away in their closet that they haven’t worn in a while. But it can be so much to try on some pieces that you haven’t played with in a million years.

Closet Confessions: Must-Have Item

February 16, 2015

Trends come and go but there are a few items that every woman needs in her closet. It may cost you a bit more to purchase these must-have pieces but you will get so much wear out of them. I recently purchased an essential item that I know will stand the test of time – a camel soft leather jacket by Milly. Best thing about this purchase was the fact that I bought it for 70% OFF! How could I resist such an incredible deal! The  original cost was $925 (yikes) and I scored this beauty for $277. I know that’s a lot of money but I figured at such a steep discount, it was a good time to splurge. I’m glad I did because I’ve worn this jacket so many times already and I know it will always stay in style.

Leather & Leopard

February 10, 2015

Last weekend it was absolutely gorgeous in Austin! The sun was out and I met the girls for a drink in these amazing leather shorts that I splurged on a few years ago at Nordstrom. I hadn’t yet worn them this entire winter, which honestly is a travesty, and I’m thrilled that the weather was nice enough to bring ‘em out!

Pleated to Perfection

January 28, 2015

Last night, I stayed up way passed my bedtime and went to a late dinner (or as some may say, I dined like the Europeans) followed by going to the best comedy show ever, Kevin Hart. Since it was a crazy work day, I had to figure out how I could go from the office and straight to my evening plans. Well, that decision was made easy when I bought this amazing faux leather pleated skirt from Zara just a few weeks ago. And better yet, it was on sale! Score!

A Pink Moment

January 25, 2015

Last week Melissa posted about the how we went to the cutest brunch spot to have a Seek Wander Share meeting and I wanted to share with you what I wore to our meeting. Building this blog has been so much work, but thankfully as I was reminded today, when you find something you love as much as I love Seek Wander Share, it no longer seems like work. I am so incredibly thankful that I can have so much fun and still be chasing my ambitions at the same time!

Warm & Fuzzy

January 22, 2015

It’s been extremely cold and rainy here in Austin lately (and by extremely I mean it could just be me lol). I’ve been craving spring already but in the mean time have been obsessed with wearing the softest sweaters because if it has to be cold you might as well feel like your wearing the softest sweater blanket ever.

Weekend Ritual: Sunday Brunch

January 18, 2015

Even on the laziest of Sunday’s, brunch is always a good idea. What’s better than gathering with your friends after the weekend’s shenanigans and catching up over a delicious meal. My most recent brunch experience was at Austin’s Josephine House in the neighborhood of Clarksville, where you can choose between fresh baked pastries to sweet potato pancakes. YUM….my mouth just salivated typing that! As anticipated, Josephine’s brunch menu was fresh, tasty, and definitely worthy of one of my favorite brunch spots in town.

Pleated to meet you

January 16, 2015

Have you noticed the midi skirt trend this fall and winter? This trend is great for those of you looking to mix up your silhouette and try something new! I’ve been wanting to mix it up lately and try new styles, so when I was playing around with this camo sweater and holding it up to different skirts in my closet, I came to this pleated midi skirt and had to try on the outfit.

Wear your spring dress now

January 13, 2015

Right about now, I want nothing more than spring warmth on my skin. Not too mention, every single store you enter is stocked up with dresses, shorts, tanks, and bright colors. I am so ready for next season and so is my closet. My spring clothes are just hanging there staring at me in the face silently screaming….”Wear me!”

Poncho Bandwagon

January 11, 2015

Have you guys been loving ponchos too this winter or is it just me? Pretty sure it can’t possibly be just me, although I am truly loving this look! Ponchos are amazingly chic and so comfortable; its like wearing a blanket out and about and it still being completely socially acceptable, which is the best part!

All White Everything

January 7, 2015

I am so ready for spring it isn’t even funny! Winter was great, and even though its still cold here in Austin, I’m hoping that if I embrace by inner feeling of spring that it’ll come early this year… think I’ve got a shot? Well I’m wearing all white anyways.

Cheers to 2015

January 2, 2015

Starting this blog with Melissa has been so much fun because I am getting to play in my closet everyday and try new looks and mix pieces that I might not have have paired together before. What better way to ring in 2015 than with a fun carefree look?

Bubbles and Sequins

December 27, 2014

New year, new dress. Why not? This New Year’s Eve I wanted to dress like a disco ball while sipping on bubbles…sequins, glitter, celebrations, shine, diamonds, sparkle, champagne. It’s a little over the top, in comparison to my typical casual look, but I wanted to ring in the new year in style.

Cinderella, Cinderella

December 26, 2014

New Years Eve is only 6 days away (eek!) and then we will be in 2015! For NYE, I love to get dolled up and spend a night out on the town with my girlfriends; our group of girls are so driven and busy that it’s hard to find a time when everyone can get together but we always make holidays like this a priority!

Shine Bright during the Holiday’s

December 24, 2014

It’s party time! Tis’ the season for dressing up and celebrating. But the only problem is, how do you decide what to wear to all the shindigs you’ve been invited to. Easy solution….always have a go-to dress that works for any occasion.

December 23, 2014

Starting Seek Wander Share has been so much fun for Melissa and I! Probably one of the most fun aspects of starting a blog with your bestie is you get to hang out all weekend in your PJs, wrap gifts, drink coffee, plan blog posts and chat about exciting ideas for content this coming new year.

Home for the Holidays

December 19, 2014

I love the holiday season because it means spending time with your friends and family doing the traditions that we’ve all grown up with and fall back in love with every winter. For me, my family gets together here in Austin, Tx. and  we exchange stories, sit around the family room catching up on all the things we want to tell each other throughout our days but somehow get lost in the hustle and bustle of everyday life and responsibilities.
