skirt ASOS | top (forever21 old) | bracelets Elle Gray | tote Whole Foods | shoes (target old)
As you may know from a few posts ago , this past month I have been on an VERY strict budget because I have been saving like a mad woman who didn’t plan her budgeting very well and has to do it all last minute (don’t be like me peeps!). Because of this, I’ve had to get verrrrry creative with my outfits, because let’s face it, even when a gals on a budget, it can be sooo boring to wear the same thing over and over again. So a gals gotta do what a gals gotta do to keep it fresh!
For this look, I went for a bit of a color blocking dress illusion. It’s actually a very comfy shift top that is SO old from forever21 (you can also see this top styled for winter on mel here) that I paired with a simple bright orange linen skirt from ASOS that I treated myself to for my birthday in May. ASOS is super amazing because all their stuff is really affordable and outrageous cute. I’ve worn this skirt so many times and you can bet your bottom dollar its in my suitcase to Italy as we speak lol. It’s high-waisted so I’ve also worn it with several crop tops and a few tops where you tie a knot to make it a little shorter. But have no fear, you can also wear this skirt with a cute blouse tucked in for work and a little blazer. Honestly when your on a budget and not buying any new items, you really do discover if you wardrobe has the necessary pieces for you to either sink or swim. Pieces like this skirt make it SO easy to mix and match, get creative and still feel like you have dolla dolla bills y’all. I’ve linked below to my linen skirt and all the other colors it comes in because it’s $36 and thats a steal! Also can’t stop wearing these stackable tassel bracelets from Elle Gray! They’re also on my take-to-italy-and-wear-constantly list lol. I mean what girl doesn’t like stackable tassel bracelets??
I can’t believe my Italian vacation is right around the corner, I’m starting to get super excited and can’t wait to hop on the plane! Fingers crossed my dad and I get sick of each other by day 5 haha!
