After moving into my new apartment this past month, I have been gathering up inspiration from Pinterest (duh, of course!) and trying different style accents to mix up the hodge-podge that is my design style. I think my design style can best be described as “Natural Travelled Contemporary Dances with Modern” haha! Now you know why I referred to it as hodge-podge. When envisioning my space I like to keep the core elements leaning closer to Modern but have found I love that Contemporary touch in kitchens and bathrooms. But as far as living spaces go, I definitely lean towards a more Modern look. It doesn’t really matter if you lean Modern, Contemporary or even more Traditional, travelled elements can liven up a space and bring in a component that adds unexpected personality, texture and intrigue to your senses. Which brings us to the Moroccan Pendant light. For a space that has great natural light during the day but could use the lighting help in the evenings, Moroccan pendant lights can offer all that and more! They’re romantic, highly detailed and usually metallic although you can paint them for a more contemporary twist (I prefer the natural metallic finish in bright light silvers or that deeper oxidized metal look). Cluster several in different sizes and shapes to create a visual focal point for a room or focus you’re energy on one large statement pendant with an interesting shape! Either way you slice it, Moroccan lamps can be the perfect addition to your modern or contemporary home; check out some of my favorite Moroccan pendant inspiration below!
