With endless photos of beautiful models strutting their stuff down the runway for NYFW, I’ve been oogling over the best beauty looks from the Spring 2016 collections. Of course, I’m obsessing over the clothes but I LOVE cosmetics and some of the makeup at the shows are so on point! Now if only I had a glam squad at all times, I would have perfectly coiffed hair, bronze skin, sultry eyes and a perfect lip. My glam squad will be at my beck and call to make sure I’m always photo ready to walk my imaginary catwalk. Ok, back to reality! Since I’m on my own without a glam squad, I look to the runway for makeup inspiration and it seems I’m always drawn towards the same look – a heavily lined eye, standout lashes and bronzy glow. Simple yet sexy! Obvi, this is a tired and true look but this season BCBG’s California Wanderlust look was heavenly! So now I’m off to my vanity to recreate the runway makeup looks with my products courtesy of Ulta Beauty .
First product I need for my runway inspired face is my all-time fav eyeliner by bareMinerals . It’s super long lasting so I can wear it from day to night. It’s so easy to apply but ladies eyeliner takes practice, just like anything in life you need to do it over and over again until you can create the perfect line. But this Ulta Beauty product (which is going on a major sale for $8 on September 19th) makes it so easy to apply the “come hither boys” look. Your eyes will stop everyone dead in their tracks! But don’t stop there….BCBG models had lashes for days. Hello, you need to be able to bat them lashes at potential suitors?! And there’s nothing better than Smashbox’s Full Exposure Mascara which goes on sale September 20th for $10 (reg. $20) so stock up now! Seriously, I’ve tried every mascara under the moon and this one does the trick…separates, lengthens, and makes your eyes really POP!
To finish off the California Wanderlust look from the recent runway shows by BCBG , glowy skin is a must. You wanna look like you’ve been sun kissed but not actually do the damage to your skin by laying out for hours. So I’m a huge fan of faking it till you make it. To get this even flawless glow, you don’t need to layer on a bunch of product. All you need for that perfect finish is one item in your beauty bag arsenal and you can find it at Ulta for $20 (reg. $33) when it goes on sale September 20th. Laura Geller’s Brighten-n-Balance Foundation is key to looking like a bronze goddess and gives you the boost of confidence to strut down that imaginary runway. Everyone has a little inner diva/model inside them (why do you think we all take selfies?)
Don’t be afraid to look and feel like a supermodel and get inspired by beauty trends from the runway! Because we can all pull off the look by channeling our inner Giselle (maybe we are not all 6 foot but that’s why there are heels) and adding a little makeup to compliment our already beautiful faces!
