The dead heat of summer is upon us and we have a good month left over of 100° weather in Austin, Tx. With the heat wave in full swing, I’ve been spending my free time near water trying to cool down! I’m not the only one right? Lazy Sunday’s by the pool are always a good idea. But with all the sun exposure, I still want to look good and protect my skin at the same time from all the harmful UV rays. That’s why you should have a summer beauty regimen that differs from other seasons. Y’all, the number one sign of skin aging is too much sun exposure so make sure you protect that mug. I’m not an expert but after all, many people mistake me for being younger than my age. I attribute that compliment which is warranted any day of the week to lots of H2O, sunscreen and lucky genes. Plus when I’m in the sun I always have a wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses. So I’ve gathered up a few of my fav summer beauty products that you should def try out.
Bobbi Brown Beach | Totally captures the essence of summer and it’s a clean, fresh scent. Also, it’s named after one of my favorite places…the beach!
Kevin Murphy Born Again Masque | With all the chlorine water, I need a hair product that will revive my frizzy, dry strands! Kevin Murphy’s masque does the trick
Sun Bum 30 SPF Sunscreen | Apply, reapply and reapply some more! I love this brand b/c it doesn’t sweat off and get all greasy. And sunscreen is more important than ever to protect your skin
Clinique lip colour balm | I love these sticks b/c they are so easy to apply plus in the heat of summer I do not typically put on a lot of foundation/concealer because it melts right off. I do not want to have a completely bare face so lipstick always pulls a summer look together
Mirabella After Sun Aloe Vera Ge l | I’m guilty of staying out in the sun for too long and getting a painful sunburn so when that happens this soothing aloe vera gel is the perfect remedy
Essie Polish | I ALWAYS have to have a summer pedi! I mean, I live in sandals and we need the toes looking cute. Super obsessed with all of Essie’s collections but I’m a sucker for this pink Flowerista polish
