Last weekend I helped my mom move and the great thing about helping your mom move is that you might get assigned to move the closet. When this happens, you have a very unique opportunity to go through EVERYTHING. Ladies, leave no stone unturned.    My mom had so much stuff and I had to make my choices carefully and not too many as to not draw attention. When I came across this pink and red loose large gingham button up, I knew this one had to come home with me and meet all of you.

The pink and red is so springy, fresh and put a big smile on my face. I paired this with my favorite cut-offs that I picked up at Urban Outfitters after four visits and four hours of trying on (this is probably not even an exaggeration) 200+ shorts. Urban Outfitters does this awesome thing where they recycle old levi’s into shorts; the problem with this is that even though the are “sized” like labeled and organized, no small, x-small, medium or large is the same OR actually is that size. Sometimes the x-smalls are actually bigger than the smalls and so forth. SO. If you have oodles of time to kill or are super patient like me or want to save the $40 it would be if you just ordered a correctly sized and just as perfect cut-offs from One Teaspoon on Shopbop , then stop by your local Urban and try on the whole pile of shorts. Not kidding lol. Back to the top I stole, I’ll be living in this loose top all summer long, and that’s not just an expression, I’m literally wearing it as I write this post!

This week I have to go to a networking event by myself as Melissa is out of town and I can’t be the only person that doesn’t kill a networking event. I’ll be honest, these kind of large mixers where I don’t know a soul is not my strong suit and can be really stressful for me! Melissa is a natural at those kind of situations, but I definitely want to get better at that kind of thing. Do you guys dread them as much as I do? Any tricks or tips to help me?

Good choice Jenni. Always loved the bright colors in this soft shirt that was a present from my fashionista daughter. Looks like fun to me!
