entire look c/o Pink and Silver Fashion truck
You can’t take yourself too seriously, after all if fashion isn’t fun that what is it? Let me paint you a picture: a group of kids hanging out, late night on a hot and balmy summer night. One makes a suggestion they get into some trouble, could be toilet papering a neighbors house or hopping the fence into someone’s backyard to take their pool for a night swim spin it’ll never forget. The blonde towards the back says “WELL, I don’t know guys. What if we get caught? I’m not sure guuuuuyysss” in that voice that only THAT kid in the group would have. I’ll get real with y’all: I have always been THAT kid growing up. (at least that’s how I remember it)
I’ve had my moments of course when I’ve bucked what was expected of me, but all in all, I was a pretty by the books kind of girl growing up and haven’t really shaken it in adulthood yet either. I don’t know if its that I am just too keenly aware of what is expected from me or better yet what I think is expected from me, but I gotta be honest, it’s fun. To shake it up and say “screw the expected”. When shopping the Pink and Silver Fashion truck during boss babes (which was boss by the way), I found myself really being bored with my own predictable predictableness. Don’t miss understand me, everything was CUTE. and like LOVE THIS kind of stuff. But how many things can I own of the same sort of amazingly cute amazingness before I barf up my own breakfast and finally get the balls to try something new??
That’s exactly what I did and this is exactly what happened. I decided on the breeziest mesh tank that I’m now obsessed with and makes me feel like a complete 90s remix babe that I always wanted to be whilst trying to master inline skating at skate camp. And I don’t have to describe my never ending penchant for destroyed denim shorts (predictable? ehhhh…), although these break the mold with their light coral color that says “a fearless girl wore me to the beach, peeled me off and left me in the sun for a whole week while she galavanted up and down the coast having the time of her life and you can be that girl now”. Finish this ballsy ensem off with turqouise colored Nikes from my sweet sweet college years and an unexpected flat bill hat, because this is seriously the first time I’ve EVER worn a flat bill hat #truth, and you’ve got yourself the raddest look I’ve ever worn. How do I look? Believable? Could I really be that girl who hops the fence into the summer unknown which can only be described as saying trouble but with a smile? Was she here all along?
“One trouble with trouble is that is usually starts out like fun”
