Remember the Traveling Pants? Well this super fringe-y awesome berry colored cardi is kinda like that but for summer, because we all know ever since the averages broke 90 on a consistent basis that we all tucked our jeans and pants away in the farthest corner of our drawers or closets. The thing about this cardi is that somehow it transforms to go with almost everything I want to wear in my closet from this GORGEOUS lace detail romper (under $30!) to several other summer dresses I have on repeat.
I’m seriously obsessed with the cool factor that this cardi possesses, and I’ll take all the coolness vibes I can get as I’ve been known to have some serious data nerd moments. BUT really truly, this romper from Pink and Silver Fashion truck is everything. I’m going to share a little romper secret with y’all that I’m sure all my romper girls out there will read and think “duh, Jen that’s no secret” but for all my girls who are reluctant to jump on this romper trend (if there are any of you left out there by now ha!), I think you’ll love it. SO. I usually wear a size small in dresses or in women’s 0-2 (4-6 in euro brands) BUT IN ROMPERS I almost always step up to a medium or in this case a large. Uhh “Why?” or “Are you like out of your mind?” you might ask? Maybe, but more about that later. Yeah I jump up one to two sizes in rompers because this is the secret to getting a good loose fit in the butt, no one wants that wedgie when sitting girls, and getting that blouse-y look I love in the top half because rompers are utilized when it’s hot. And when it’s hot I like to avoid unnecessary undergarments and if your top is loose and not glued to you, you can usually get away with it and no one will ever know. This is also how I avoid having that issue of like the torso of the romper not being long enough for both sitting and standing and the shorts being long enough to cover your WHOLE butt. I mean must I saw any more? Most the rompers I wear have some sort of adjustable tie or elastic waist band so I almost never worry about the mediums and larges not fitting at all because it still always nips in at the waist created that definition so it doesn’t look like you’re wearing a potato sack. So when you’re running out last minute on a Thursday to Pink and Silver Fashion truck, or shopping the Pink and Silver Fashion truck Instagram looking for something to wear for the weekend, don’t write off the rompers that aren’t your exact size and don’t be afraid to size up.
