There’s something to be said about the red lip classic thing that goes hand in hand with one of my favorite holidays, fourth of July. Since budgeting for Italy, I’ve had to really focus on the classic pieces in my wardrobe that are mix and matchable and make me feel like me while still feeling like a fresh version of myself (I swear the thoughts in girls heads haha!). So what better way to start the July fourth festivities early than to invoke my inner Taylor-Swift-meets-friends-for-4th-of-july-festivities persona?
Believe it or not, but if you didn’t you’d be wrong just fyi, I’ve had this cute little white striped cropped top from H&M for OHH about 4 months. I really do have far too many clothes. What’s scary is that sometimes y’all don’t even see clothes until like 3-4 months later because of how many clothes I have. ANYWAYS. I’ve had it for months and I’m finally get around to wearing it just for you, and me. Nothing says classic american style more than a well cut red high-waisted pencil skirt . This Zara skirt is another closet staple for me that I constantly wear to work, just not with a crop top lol. But if I’m being honest with y’all, which I almost always am (ha!), my favorite part of this outfit is the gorgeous tortoise shell link necklace from Swell Caroline . I wore it on Seek Wander Share’s instagram a few weeks ago and can’t stop pair it with red lips and stripes. Definitely a new favorite for me!
For fourth of July Mel and I are getting some friends together and even though I have no idea what we’re all doing, because I’m usually the last to pay attention, it’ll definitely involve water, nature and sparklers. and safety. DUH! What are y’alls plans for the fourth of July? Can’t wait to see all the cute instas over the weekend!
