Girls Night Out

March 26, 2015

Girl’s Night Out for me is one of the most fun nights of the week. I really enjoy getting dressed up and trying new dishes at restaurants so I always have so much fun and look forward to these nights with my girlies. A red lip has never really been my thing, although I love it on others, but I’ve been playing more with lipstick especially red lipstick and the more I’m wearing it the more I’m starting to get use to it.

Puerto Rico, here I come

March 7, 2015

The countdown has officially begun. T-minus 5 days until I am reunited with my family on the beautiful Caribbean island of Puerto Rico. I may not have been born there but I definitely love the culture, food, people, music and everything else from my “native” home. One things for sure – everyone who knows me says I’m a little feisty and there’s no doubt in my mind that it comes from being a hot-blooded Latina and I will not apologize for my sassy-ness!

Spring Forward

February 27, 2015

It’s been chilly the last few days in Austin, but this month we have been lucky enough to get a glint of sunshine and remember what it’s like to feel the warmth of spring and summer. Of course warmer weather brings in my opinion, the cutest outfits. I love all the colors, the open toe sandals, the fun floral prints and super cute rompers these seasons bring. Today, I’ve rounded some spring time looks that I’m currently craving and totally obsessing over. This year, I’m going to shop spring and summer early because all the good rompers, shorts, sandals, skirts and off the shoulder tops are all gone early. And this year, I won’t let the other birds get my worm.

Like New Again

February 17, 2015

Since setting my resolution this year to travel more, I have had to brain storm how I am exactly going to make that happen. What was the solution I came up with: shopping my closet as a way to save money. Every girl has some items that have been tucked away in their closet that they haven’t worn in a while. But it can be so much to try on some pieces that you haven’t played with in a million years.

Happy Galentine’s Day

February 13, 2015

Hooray for Galentine’s Day! The best day of the year to celebrate all your inspiring, talented, beautiful, charming, intelligent, kind, adventurous lady friends. Without your girls, who would else be there during your ups and downs. Helping you celebrate the promotions, going on double dates, listening to you talk for hours about your crush, debating what you should wear on a Friday night, motivating you to workout, and everything else under the sun.

Feeling Tribal…

February 6, 2015

Last weekend was I met up with my girlfriends for queso, tacos and drinks after a working all day (fun work that is) on the blog. Being from the south and growing up in Texas, tex-mex is just a way of life; in fact my dad loves it so much that I think if we could eat it every time we meet to somewhere to eat, we would lol! If only it wasn’t for my pestering him to try new places, we probably really would! Anyways, we met at La Condesa which is one of my all time favorite places for girl talk and the BEST drinks this side of the Mississippi. I didn’t have time to run home and grab flats so I wore what I had previously been wearing which was a super cute outfit built around a statement skirt!

Countdown to the weekend

January 29, 2015

Hang in there friends, it’s almost Friday! And I’m already planning my girls night out outfit. After a long week of work and responsibilities, its time to let loose and paint the town red. By the way, my version of that means I’ll be back home before all the “cool” kids even make it to the bar. I have my outfit all planned so when the clock hits 5pm on Friday, I’m out the door to get a cat nap and then meet the girls.

Pleated to Perfection

January 28, 2015

Last night, I stayed up way passed my bedtime and went to a late dinner (or as some may say, I dined like the Europeans) followed by going to the best comedy show ever, Kevin Hart. Since it was a crazy work day, I had to figure out how I could go from the office and straight to my evening plans. Well, that decision was made easy when I bought this amazing faux leather pleated skirt from Zara just a few weeks ago. And better yet, it was on sale! Score!

C’est Tout Bon

January 24, 2015

This look is an absolute favorite of mine because it makes me feel so beautiful and girly! Not only that, but its super easy to pull off and flattering on every figure; after receiving so many likes for this outfit and variations of it time after time on my personal instagram, I decided give the people what they want!

Poncho Bandwagon

January 11, 2015

Have you guys been loving ponchos too this winter or is it just me? Pretty sure it can’t possibly be just me, although I am truly loving this look! Ponchos are amazingly chic and so comfortable; its like wearing a blanket out and about and it still being completely socially acceptable, which is the best part!

All White Everything

January 7, 2015

I am so ready for spring it isn’t even funny! Winter was great, and even though its still cold here in Austin, I’m hoping that if I embrace by inner feeling of spring that it’ll come early this year… think I’ve got a shot? Well I’m wearing all white anyways.

Resort season has arrived

January 5, 2015

Resort season is among us! For you lucky ladies traveling to tropical destinations to enjoy a warm winter vacation, I wanted to share with you my favorite look for your getaway.

I’m a huge fan of printed pants and found these last spring at one of my all time favorite stores, Zara. The fun, bold print can be paired with a simple t-shirt, great accessories, and don’t forget about a classic straw fedora. This pant literally makes me want to take a vacation because they’re super soft and have a drawstring waistband (which means I can have the extra margarita and dessert while on my travels). Also, they take up no room in your suitcase because they’re so lightweight and by the way, who doesn’t love a tropical print….don’t be afraid of it! The floral design is fresh and it can easily transition into your spring and summer wardrobe.

50 shades of blue

December 17, 2014

Finding a way to look chic while still being comfortable and not feeling too over dressed (or under for that matter) is one of the hardest things I encounter day to day. Because of this I have found there are a few simple tips, tricks and some key wardrobe pieces that can help you look put together but still feel like you can move and groove through your day.

Weekend Casual

December 6, 2014

On the weekends, I love to keep my attire cool and casual.  Wait a minute, I always love to keep my look cool and casual.

So when I’m running around town, you will always find me in flats, and I scored when I purchased these two-tone boots during Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale earlier this year.  Now that the Texas “winter” is finally here, I’ve been able to get major use out of them. I typically pair them with my lived in Zara skinny jeans and [insert any flow-y top here].  For this look, I wore a floral patterned blouse with great cutouts in the back to show a little skin in the cooler months.  When a breeze comes along, I reach for my favorite utility jacket from Forever 21 . My weekends are meant for relaxing and that means dressing down but still looking fashionable.
