A few weeks ago Melissa came over first thing in the morning to shoot some early morning shots at my desk for a Techie Girl Techie World post about Tagspire . In a wild turn of events, I was running late and she was on time, so while I continued to get the light right and try not to burn my breakfast, Mel thumbed through my closet. “You have so much new stuff in here!”, “I love this!”, “You have so many amazing white tops, like seriously such a good selection.” Her last comment that morning got me thinking about the fact that I really do have like 10 plus white tops, from silk blouses and linen button ups to the classic white cotton tank.
Which brings me to my long drawn out point, that the classic simple white tank is truly one of my favorite basic. It’s such an easy must-have basic in my wardrobe that I wear dressed down for a casual day food truck hopping, as seen here on South 1st street, or dressed up for a hot date night out at Sway. Hot date aside, for food truck hopping I threw on my trusty tank, knotted it up at my waist and grabbed my favorite scarf and fedora. Nothing says food truck feast quite like an elastic waist band either, hence my new fav Target chambray shorts which are less than $20! I was inspired by Mel’s Splendid chambray shorts she has been wearing lately so I stole her look, except I got a deal on mine lol! These shorts will definitely be coming to Italy with me in July, come to think of it, this entire outfit will, shoes and all. The fedora and scarf are must haves for driving around in my dad’s weekend car again, just a little treat to myself, besides the miniature donuts at the food trucks!
