Out in the middle of nowhere West Texas, you will find a unique town with a population of roughly 2,000 people. Welcome to Marfa, ladies and getlemen! The land is vast and open and its a destination you definitely won’t forget. Known for its art scene and Prada store (random, huh?), Marfa, TX is on our travel wish list this year.
On this said trip , we want to stay at the famous El Cosmico . With its isolated feel, this is the perfect location to get rid of all your devices and enjoy nothing. Yes, absolutely nothing! What’s better than taking pleasure in your surroundings and being one with nature? At El Cosmico, you can choose to stay in a vintage trailer, tent, or teepee….yes, you read that correctly. Talk about an experience out of the norm.
While in Marfa, take in the desert surroundings and visit Big Bend State and National Park by day. By night, enjoy the Marfa lights, a phenomena which lights up the night’s sky with red, blue, and white colors for some unknown reason. There are also renowned minimalist artwork that will surprise and delight and don’t forget to shop the town area for unique and creative boutiques.
