Last Saturday Melissa and I attended Fashion X Austin’s Austin Fashion Week Finale, finally! I had missed Friday night due to being sick (terrible I know!) and almost missed Saturday but I’m so glad I made it because we saw some amazing designers! We were lucky enough to have Prize Boutique , the lovely boutique that hosted our Austin Fashion Week Soiree a few weeks ago (? seems so long ago now!), loan us some beautiful pieces to wear to the finale show.

I fell in love with the saturated red lace top and fitted black leather skirt after a trying on a few outfits that I thought for sure I would love (which I did but we’re more perfect for my upcoming trip to Italy than Austin Fashion Week). Prize Boutique has some amazing silk halter and palazzo pant sets in super bright colors and prints, which I was immediately drawn to but ultimately decided was too resort-y for Austin Fashion Week. What I love most about my Austin Fashion Week Finale look is the loose boyfriend fit of the delicate lace top and how the lace and leather compliment each other. Not to mention, this GORGEOUS bright fuchsia cow hide clutch. I wasn’t sure about pairing the two super saturated colors together at first, but then I saw how well the really played off each other and loved it!

It’s funny because I feel like Melissa and I flip flopped in that normally she would gravitate towards the outfit I wore and I would gravitate towards the outfit she wore, which is why I absolutely loved her outfit! Mel rocked some leather cigarette pants, paired with a simple but super chic silk button blouse with that gorgeous wide brim hat. I am such a fan of hats and I know Melissa loves a hat too, but I had never seen her in a felt flat brimmed hat like this one before and I really think it gives her that cool chic factor. The leather pants are so versatile and could be worn to work, dressed up for a night out or worn street chic like Mel styled them here.

We both had SO MUCH fun at Austin Fashion Week and we’re so glad that they sat us front row because we got to see all the amazing work of these designers up close and personal! Some of our favorites (which were hard to choose since they all were amazing!) were Nine Muses and Spire the Label ! HUGE THANK YOU to Carlos and Sarah for doing such an amazing job with photography and makeup, thanks dream team!
