This past weekend I turned 25 and realized I’m half way through my 20’s. My friends who are in their 30’s all tell me they feel more sure of themselves, more confident in what they want and don’t want and are happier than in their 20’s, which got me thinking what’s the difference? And um, can I just start doing those things now so the back end of my 20’s feel just as happy, content and self-assured as I expect my 30’s to be (no pressure future self!)?

I think part of it is embracing that I don’t care about what anyone else thinks, I only care what I think attitude. And no one masters this ‘tude better than the hippy chic Bohemian. So for this look I really embraced my Bohemian side in some super wide leg chiffon printed Show Me Your MuMu pants from our trip to Root Fashion and Aura back in March . I love these pants because they’re the exact opposite of my comfort zone which is skinny cropped jeans or a short skirt, anything to show off these stems. The movement is incredible and they really do command a presence so different than the standard skinny jean. Root sold out of these exact ones unfortunately (although I did link to the exact pair below) but Root does have the same wide legs in a gorgeous similar print! I paired a low back top from Zara with the cutest tie detail. Now a low back top is right up my ally, I love anything that doesn’t require underpinnings, but for those of you who don’t want to go bare, a lace bandeau from free people underneath would be a super cute touch. Of course, wedges are a must for this look, and I have to confess I only own this one pair of older DVF nude wedges I picked up at Nordstrom. I’m a heel girl, so wedges aren’t like this must have shoe for me since I find heels comfortable in general. BUT, if I were to up date my wedge game it would be with this affordable pair from ASOS that has more delicate straps which I think is super feminine yet could be worn with anything all summer long. I finished this look off with my go-to white saddlebag stachel that is super old from target and some really bohemian dream catcher earrings that my mom gave me a thousands years ago that I still have.

And that all she wrote folks! That’s right all you have to do is dress the part and boom! You’re attitude will be like completely new. haha! What it doesn’t work like that? But really, I think I’ll really start to be more thoughtful about what I enjoy both in relationships whether they be friendships or romantical, what I want out of my career and what in life is important to me. Not only that, but I’m going to try to stop being so concerned with what others may like or want and start being more concerned with what I want. In a totally un-selfish way ha! Or not! Either way, I’m going to do more of what I want and less of what I might feel would be expected of me, because I let my inner Bohemian out and she’s not going anywhere soon.
