As you may know by now, Austin Fashion Week is right around the corner and officially begins on Thursday, 16th. In order to celebrate and get everyone excited, the city has been swarmed with soirees to kickoff all the runway shows. We had the opportunity to host one of these fabulous events this past weekend at Austin-based decor boutique, Prize. This lovely store located on 2nd street district in the heart of downtown Austin was the perfect spot for all the festivities.
Our party started in the late afternoon until the early evening so I wanted to go dressy. Well, when I woke up it was absolutely gloomy out so I had a change of plans. I wanted to be really comfortable but super stylish. I can live in jeans so knew immediately with the cruddy weather, I was going to wear my new high waist skinny jeans from Topshop. So how do you dress up jeans? Easy…wear a great sheer blouse and layer it with a long sleeveless vest like this awesome find from the savvy department at Nordstrom. Then take it up a notch with some fun jewelry and great slip-on wedges like these Sam Edelman ones. Totes adorbs!
