This week we’re rounding up our favorite workout looks, because as I always say to myself “if you don’t feel good going to the gym, you wont go”. That might seem silly, but feeling like you have some go-to pieces to mix and match for your workout wardrobe is so important in feeling like you belong at the gym just as much as those women killing it in spin class!

My go-to workout brand is Zella from Nordstrom because its great quality (ladies those capris aren’t see through so your good to go in yoga class) and it isn’t as expensive as Lululemon. Zella’s capris are my favorite because they fit super well, are reversible so you can wear the side that’s more like a yoga pant or switch it to the side that’s shinier like a running capri and have a great mesh detail on the calf on the pant leg. When looking for workout wear its important that you keep in mind what activities you like to do the most, like for me even though my friends dragged me into running which I’m not a huge fan of, I mostly stick to yoga, barre and HIIT type work outs. So loose running shorts and 3/4 capris are the best workout bottoms for me. I stock up on my Zella gear usually during Nordstrom’s Anniversary sale in July, but you can also pick up amazing Zella at your local Nordstrom rack! On to tops: even though I’m petite it’s important that I have enough support for the girls. Tops with built in support are my favorite because I find these kinds of tops more comfortable that the ones that you have to wear an actual sportsbra under. I usually go for a tank and jacket because I like to layer during my workouts to make sure I stay warm between sets or if the exercises involve high intensity and low intensity intervals I don’t want my muscles to get cool during the lower energy movements. These running shoes from Mizuno were Christmas gifts from my dad and they’re so amazingly comfortable and supportive that I’m not sure how I ever ran without them. They can be a little expensive but so can Nikes and in my opinion, these are so much more comfortable. If you’re a real runner, which I am not even, go out and get yourself a pair now. When you’re getting ready to run to the gym you should feel comfortable, confident and great about getting healthy, so treat yourself to some gear you love! I promise it will make going to the gym or running that extra mile a little bit easier!

Love that jacket! I’m always cold when I start my workouts so layering is key :)
