Mamma Mia, Here I Go Again

Here’s a confession – I LOVE musicals. Everything about them…the lights, music, costume, performance, dancing, makeup, characters, and so on! I mean, who wouldn’t want their life turned into an awesome soundtrack? One of my all time favorites is the upbeat, funny, and feel-good Mamma Mia. The story takes place on a Greek island and tells a daughter’s quest to find her father before her wedding day; all of this is sung through the songs of ABBA. Clearly, I’m an inner 70s wild child!

When I found out Broadway across America was bringing Mamma Mia to Austin, I nearly flipped out. I immediately bought tickets the second they went on sale and I was planning my outfit months in advance. I wanted to feel like I was on stage and part of the performance, so naturally I would dress as if I were in Greece. In the bluest of blues and the whitest of whites. I bought this beautiful flowy top, which reminds me of the ocean, at a fab boutique in Austin, FOUND. They had an amazing blow-out sale at 70% off so how can I resist. Sticking to the theme, I paired it with white bootcut jeans and wedges. Thanks to my BFF and partner in crime, Jennifer, she lent me this cute blue crossbody bag from Forever 21. Viola, I was ready for show time. As I watched the show, it took every fiber in my being to not get up and sing aloud like a crazy person. I was able to hold it together; I absolutely recommend this musical to any who wants a good laugh and enjoys a story of love, family, and friendship.
