It’s the weekend which means time to let my hair down and have fun. I’m trying something different and taking a salsa dance class. Rhythm comes natural to me and for fun I’ve always taken some sort of dance class as a teenager and adult. For over seven years, I was a belly dancer but now I’m ready to get in touch with my Latina roots and try some salsa/merengue/bachata lessons. Even if you aren’t a dancer, don’t be afraid to get in touch with your inner dive and try a new activity like ballet, salsa, hip hop, jazz, belly dance or whatever calls your name!

So what to wear to a salsa class? A sexy, flowy, colorful dress! And really comfortable shoes. I’m totally in love with this dress that I bought about a year ago at Austin boutique, Luxe Apothetique . I love to keep it simple with a pair of great camel sandals, dainty jewelry and a really fun manicure. Since I’ll be moving a lot, I don’t even need a purse.

What will you do this weekend that’s out of the box?
