Kimono only $23! ( similar ) // Target Sandals only $15! ( splurge ) // mint tank local boutique ( similar , similar ) // Cutoffs old from Urban Outfitters ( love these and these ) // bag old ( love this tote version ) // necklace old ( similar )

With the weather starting to warm up I’ve been looking for easy and versatile layering pieces that can be worn with almost anything. Thus my discovery of the crochet kimono! They’re usually fairly light weight which makes them perfect for laying over silky tanks for spring and summer.

What I love about this white crochet kimono from Forver21 is that its a little longer which is perfect for my tops which tend to be a little on the tunic-y side. I don’t know why but I feel like a cropped kimono would look odd with this longer top, but I totally think this kimono would go perfectly with a crop top. So I decided on this longer version which has some really pretty crochet details on the sleeves. I picked up this top in mint and neon green/yellow from Found Boutique in Austin, but I’ve linked a few others above and below. For me, the mint color feels fresh, springy and is super soft on my fair skin but will great even when I get a little bit of color. I think I’ve shared these heels with you before but if I haven’t SORRY, because you NEED to know about them! They’re from target and are so comfy that I even wore them during SXSW…twice! And if you’re anything like me, the only thing that can beat $15 sandals that are comfy and can go with anything is free sandals. I’ll definitely be wearing these all summer long!

On an entirely different note, I got too much sun while laying out this past weekend reading magazines…NOT GOOD lol! But, I’m looking for a good spring/summer read and would love to hear if you guys have any suggestions! and in exchange I’ll tell you one of my all time favorite summer reads that I took to paris with me a few years ago: Come to the Edge by Christina Haag. SUCH a good book!
