Moms and Mimosas

On Mother’s Day, my family has a long-standing tradition of gathering our immediate family and having a delicious lunch. It never fails, we always seem to go to an Italian restaurant and usually need to be wheel barreled out. That may be a slight exaggeration but we love to dine out and order whatever pleases the palette. We are huge fans of a long dining experience and taking our time between courses so this way we can connect and truly enjoy the smells, sounds, tastes and moments together.

This year, I was in charge of arranging our lunch plans and entertaining the crew in Austin. My first thought was dining at one of my all-time fav restaurants in town, Olive and June . I love this restaurant for its local, seasonal Southern Italian cuisine. The dishes are so comforting and you can taste the chef’s passion for cooking in every bite. I used my OpenTable app, which I love so much because it’s user friendly and convenient, to book my family’s reservation for Mother’s Day lunch on Sunday, May 10, 2015. They will be serving a special prix fixe menu for $42 which can be viewed here . YUMMY! I can’t wait to treat my mom to a delicious Italian feast. She deserves that and so much more!
