The weather has been amazing lately in Austin and it’s got me pulling out all my spring and summer staples. Two of which are stripes and fedoras! I seriously love a striped anything which is kinda super obvious, see my summertime lounging-in-the-grass-and-in-a-striped-tee look here lol, but stripes are just such a great warm weather staple. I think it’s mostly because they evoke nautical vibes of sun, sand and boating, but it could just be that fact that they’re also so versatile. Depending on how you style a striped piece, you could give off the obvious nautical vibes, or go straight up preppy with it or pair it with another print to go for quirky fun, or even pair it with a more utilitarian piece like this great utility jacket for a casual cool vibe.
The other thing I really love about this look is that the dress is SUPER comfy because of the carefree swing cut. I had originally purchased this cute cotton dress at ASOS last summer, (stripes never go out of style either lol!) but have linked to an almost exact sleeveless striped swing dress from the LOFT! I hope you find this look inspiring even if all the items are pieces I already had in my closet, but hey, a girl’s gotta save for Italy right?! I finished this look off with my favorite socially conscious and cute Jackson tote bag from our local buddies over at ESPEROS . If you haven’t heard through the grapevine, or from us, about the awesome, inspiring and amazing missions ESPEROS is knocking out the park both here locally in Austin and in developing countries, you can get all caught up here !
