Pom Poms Everywhere

Lately I’ve been seeing not only a lot of tropical prints but also pom pom details on everything, like literally every single kind of item. So when I was leisurely browsing Shopstyle which I do, oh every so day or two lol, and I came across these ASOS tropical printed high-waisted pom pom shorts … ON SALE, I didn’t even have to think twice. ASOS runs a bit small typically (they’re an european company so this isn’t unusual, think topshop sizing) so I ended up sizing up to a US size 4 which is a perfect loose fit in the butt and nice and snug in the waist. And at only $14, they were a steal.

I ended up pairing these fun pom shorts with a off the shoulder ruffle top from Lulus that I already had in my closet. I love this top because it has a built in bustier so I can wear it simply by itself but the best part of this top in my opinion is that you can tuck the sleeves in for a simple crop strapless top or pull the sleeves out for the off the shoulder look! Wham, two tops in one! Finally, I finished this look off with my go-to summer sandals that I picked up last year at Nordstrom and wear everywhere. They’re super comfy, go with everything and have a little touch of gold metallic on the heel. I seriously can’t say enough good things about these sandals including the height of the heel. It’s just enough to give me that little lift I like for when I wear a shorter hem, but flat enough to be comfortable all night! ps. Mother’s day is coming up this weekend and I’ll be spending the day in Georgetown with my grandmother and mom. Do you guys have any special plans for Mother’s day? I would love to hear them!
