Pleated to Perfection

Last night, I stayed up way passed my bedtime and went to a late dinner (or as some may say, I dined like the Europeans) followed by going to the best comedy show ever, Kevin Hart. Since it was a crazy work day, I had to figure out how I could go from the office and straight to my evening plans. Well, that decision was made easy when I bought this amazing faux leather pleated skirt from Zara just a few weeks ago. And better yet, it was on sale! Score!

Transitioning my work look to an evening look was easy. I was on a time crunch and had to make my outfit as versatile as possible. My new skirt is the perfect length for work, just right above the knee and such a flattering fit. In order to make this look “night out” approrpiate, I swapped my blouse for this cream off-the-shoulder sweater that’s bedazzled with sequins on the shoulders; just enough skin to balance the length of a longer skirt. Next, add a great statement necklace and viola! My look was complete and I was ready to LMAO at Kevin Hart. By the way, if he’s coming to your town, you’ve gotta check it out. I’m seriously still laughing at the absurdities that came out of this mouth.
