If you follow Seek Wander Share on Instagram you know by now that Melissa and I fell in love with the cutest Austin boutique, Found and splurged on a bunch of items that we were totally over the moon about. One of those pieces was this awesome silk shirt dress with a waist tie detail. I’m a a total sucker for anything soft, silky or blouse-y and if I can find this trifecta of my definition of perfection in an item, I snatch it up and never look back.
This is one of those pieces. This shirt dress can serve so many different purposes its incredible. I could pair it with a blazer and printed ethnical scarf for a perfectly appropriate dressed up work day if big wigs are coming in town, or throw on bow flats and a straw fedora to meet girls for drinks on a patio when the weather warms up. You can even top destroyed white skinny jeans and blouse the dress in an exaggerated fashion and knot the sash for a modern and sleek tunic look. Or layer a great knit sweater with tall boots over the dress for a seemingly skirt, shirt, sweater combo, but you’ll know the truth! My only complaint is that I hate ironing things, so this kind of fabric can be a bit finicky. A trick Melissa and my grandmother taught me that I utilize few to often is hanging your delicates up in your bathroom while you take a hot shower and letting the steam knock the wrinkles out. But now that I think of it, I do have one more complaint, minor of course and all in good fun, but Found Austin my life will be complete with an online shop… let me know when I can die happy.
This week has been so crazy cold, busy and full. I was sick earlier this week and Melissa manned Seek Wander Share. I can’t tell you guys enough how lucky I am to have a blogging PIC like Mel. I honestly don’t know how all you girls and guys do it alone (although we all have our support systems, so I’m sure it’s hardly alone) but I feel so lucky to have a blogging partner who can hold down the fort while I’m sick. The cure: dad’s food runs, the new issue of vogue with Karlie and Taylor on the cover and sleep, all. day. long. Wishing you all a very lovely and hopefully warm week!
