Yesterday I shared my secret obsession with white tops and how they make the foundation of my wardrobe for practically any occasion especially food truck hopping. Today, my favorite white tank is taking our relationship to the next level and we’re going out on a hot date together. See the thing I love most about my partner in crime is that it’s down for anything and can easily go from food truck hopping to a hot date at one of my favorite Austin eateries, Sway. I mean come on, isn’t that like the number one criteria girls look for in a beau for life? undoubtedly, yes.
For a hot date with my main squeeze, I definitely wanted to show a little leg because nothing says stepping up your game quite like a thigh high slit. But somehow this gauzy jersey skirt makes it feels less red carpet and more effortless cool. I got lucky and snatched this one up from Zara during one of their half-yearly sales (aren’t they the best??) and knew I hit the jackpot considering I had my eye on the Helmut Lang version for like two years but just couldn’t justify spending $150 on my budget at the time. Now I probably would splurge on the Helmut Lang because my Zara one already has a little pull on it from the last time I wore it because the fabric just isn’t as nice a quality as Helmut Lang (duh.).
Wondering if these super sleek sandals are my dream shoes, Stuart Weitzman Nudist sandals ? Well the answer is no. Find out that story here lol. BUT these are the Steve Madden ‘gea’ sandals and they look almost exactly the same. I’ll confess, they kind tore up my heels, but in their defense I knew better than to wear them for the first time ever to a blogger event filled night of walking, talking and a whole lot of standing… Regardless I’m still happy with the decision I made about them! Other than the heel part, they’re really comfy and fit well! I finished this look off with the fedora because Sway makes me feel like I could be on a beach in Thailand and then just stumble upon the most beautiful little boutique restaurant with the best ice cream sundae ever, and the fedora went with those feelings I was feeling.
