Office Space

I recently purchased a desk from Ikea with the intention of creating the perfect space for me to work on Seek Wander Share and gather my thoughts. The thing I love most about decorating is you can make the space what ever you want it to be, it’s a completely blank canvas and you’re the painter. But I’m left wondering…what will I paint?

This first place to start is a rule of thumb, better yet a set of ideas to guide you journey as you decorate your space: color, texture and print. Now I know that is really what people say for fashion but I find it applies just as much to your living/working space as it does fashion! But better yet pick the pieces that inspire you, make you want to spend more time in the space and most importantly make you feel good. If a piece makes you smile, for instance in my case a beautiful shag rug, a super unique print/photo or a sleek foundational furniture piece, incorporate it in your space. When you spend time in that room, you’ll think of the experience you had when you found it and you’ll feel so happy you’ll never regret it! Another super important aspect to consider is price (whomp whomp). I know no one ever wants to shop like they’re on a budget but the truth is, most of us are! Keep in mind you want to splurge on the pieces that will stand the test of time and you won’t get tired of it. A super trending lamp that is $300 is probably not the best thing to splurge on (I was tempted!) but a fantastic head-board maybe is. I’m getting off topic, because obviously a headboard is an unlikely piece for your office but you guys get the point! I put together some favorites from below for all of you to shop from two of my favorite stylish and affordable interior design stores, Lulu & Georgia and Joss and Main ! Happy Saturday everyone!

Mine is definitely still coming together (it takes time to find special and unique pieces loL!) but it’s so much fun putting it together! Can’t wait to see how yours turns out!
