As a child, I remember my mom spritzing the sweetest, most floral scent. I would sneak into her vanity and spray myself with her signature perfume. Now, I love to try various fragrances and depending on my mood, I’ll try perfumes with different notes. I will still always love floral aromas as it will bring back the memory of my mother. Currently, I’ve taken a rather interesting approach to my perfume selection….I’ve chosen a cologne by Hanae Mori with notes of blackcurrant and spearmint and was inspired by the sea. But on a more traditional note, I wanted to share some of my favorite perfumes I’ve tried over the years.
With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, it’s the perfect time of year to try a new scent and make sure your special sweetheart knows which one you want so you can conveniently receive the best gift. For the single ladies, never fear….I suggest going to your local Nordstrom beauty department and asking for samples so when you find the right one, you can indulge and treat yourself. In no particular order, these are my fav picks:
Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet | peony and fruity notes that will remind you of a bouquet
Chloe Love Story | the perfect blend of jasmine and orange flower oil
Narciso Rodriguez for her | rose petals and iris’s create a light, airy scent
Hanae Mori | men’s cologne that actually gets me tons of compliments with its spearmint notes
Diptyque L’Ombre dans l’Eau | well I don’t know how to pronounce it but I know it smells like an English garden
Chance by Chanel | a light and subtle fragrance for all the dreamers
My Burberry | feel like you’ve been transported to rainy London day with this floral scent
Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb | This Nordstrom exclusive is even more enchanting than its predecessor
Now with all these suggestions, I’m sure you’ll find a signature scent! Share with us your favorite perfume and I’ll make sure to give it a spritz!

You’re right girls, I loved this post!! I wish I knew what my mom wore growing up, because whenever I smell something like it, I’m instantly taken back. I know it’s silly but I love Juicy Courure’s scents, for an inexpensive fix, but my personal everyday scent is either Mademoiselle by Chanel or Jo Malone’s Peony and Blush Colgone. I can’t wait to follow you gals as you seek wander and share!! xoxoxo C

They definitely are some very popular scents! Unfortunately I’m allergic to perfume so I can never wear it.
