Pleated to meet you

Have you noticed the midi skirt trend this fall and winter? This trend is great for those of you looking to mix up your silhouette and try something new! I’ve been wanting to mix it up lately and try new styles, so when I was playing around with this camo sweater and holding it up to different skirts in my closet, I came to this pleated midi skirt and had to try on the outfit.

Midi skirts are so lady lake, chic and timeless! I tend to love super girly dressy looks, but find that sometimes even I think I’m a little too predictable. That’s why I loved pairing this playful terry camo sweater from Nordstrom that I picked up during last year’s anniversary sale with this beautiful subtle Anthropologie pleated midi skirt from last year, but I found a beautiful similar one here from Anthro. The sweater keeps the look fun and says I don’t take my lady like skirt too seriously. I topped the look off with some gladiator inspired Tory Burch heels (old) to add a touch of sparkle to the outfit. The best part of midi skirts are their versatility; you can pair them with a chic blouse for work, a crop top for meeting the girls for drinks or a cropped sweater and flats for running errands around town!
