Y’all today is the first day of Austin Fashion Week and I can not believe that Melissa and I will be attending this year with press passes and sitting front row! It’s seems crazy to me that in October, Seek Wander Share was just a idea in both our minds and here we are in April attending the biggest fashion event Austin will see all year long.
For Day 1, Sarah Frey of Sarah Frey Makeup came over to my place and worked her magic to make both Melissa and I look beautiful and fashion week ready! I had sent Sarah some ideas and my favorite was the stark bright blue eyeliner look. I knew I wanted to wear this white and black striped asymmetrical hem dress from Lulus that I bought a while ago and was saving for the right occasion, which turned out to be Austin Fashion Week. The hem of this dress is super flattering and I feel like you can pop it on and boom, you’re fashion week ready. I really think that the bright blue eyeliner and baby pink strappy heels from ASOS balance out the starkness of this hem really well too and keeps the look feeling a bit unexpected with a fun vibe. I’m seriously obsessed with the blue eyeliner now too lol! You might see me rocking this like all next week haha.
Melissa wore an outfit that she picked up last week with me while shopping Beehive boutique. I love how the gorgeous coral color of the top compliments her skin so well! Melissa had originally gone to the boutique to try on full length wide leg trouser pants similiar to these pineapple culottes but when I saw the pineapple ones, I thought these are amazing you have to try them on! And it turned out she loved them more than the original ones we came for lol! This beautiful origami leather wrist clutch was loaned to us by Prize Boutique for Austin Fashion Week and I’m in love with how unique and inspired the shape of the bag truly is. When Melissa and I partnered with Sarah to do our makeup for Austin Fashion Week, I know Melissa was going to be in heaven makeup wise; this girls LOVES getting her makeup done (then again what girl doesn’t lol) and she couldn’t wait for Sarah to play up her gorgeous eyes and contour her up. I also am kinda obsessed with her coral lip (Sarah I may have to try that next!).
