Last weekend Melissa and I went explore one of her favorite little parks between her house and mine before heading to Contigo for dinner! I had never been to Contigo, so I wanted to wear something cute because I just really enjoy getting dressed up to go out. I had worn this same outfit a few weeks ago when my dad and I went to Cafe Josie (also a super cute dinner spot) and loved how playful, lighthearted and fun this look was!

This top from Zara (old) still had the tags on it a few weeks ago because I just never knew what to wear it with. I paired it with these super colorful and fun printed loose shorts I picked up forever ago in college. I love how the crop length compliments the high waist of the shorts and makes my legs look longer even though I’m in flats! This is a super easy cheat for those of you who want to be comfortable in flat but still give the illusion of long legs that heeled sandals do. I finished off the look with my favorite summer straw handbag and the pop of color in the beaded turquoise necklace. Honestly, what I love most about this look is that I didn’t have to buy anything new! But for those of you who want to recreate the outfit or just get some similar pieces, I linked to some really cute chevron shorts above and some high-waisted watercolor floral shorts from Asos, as well as my Sam Edelman trina sandals (that I love and wear everywhere) which are on sale!

The park is the cutest little thing, and turns out I had actually been there a long time ago when I was probably seven but completely forgot about it. It has peacocks that are incredibly beautiful and roam around the grounds freely. My favorite little spot though that I never knew about is a cute little dock down by the water that is really serene, peaceful and perfect for sitting and enjoying a little snack or book. Now if only I could find a really great secluded rope swing near my home, I’d be set for summer lol! Ps. I also goofed around alot for this shoot, because I was so hungry and the outtakes are sooo funny! Can’t wait to do a big post of just outtakes lol! What did you guys do last weekend? I would love to hear!
